Have you ever wanted to “Own the Ranch”?

“Wilderness to the people of America is a spiritual necessity, an antidote to the high pressure of modern life, a means of regaining serenity and equilibrium.” ~Sigurd F. Olson

Do you want to feel like you “own” a private bison and wildlife ranch? Where there are no other guests on the entire ranch – it all belongs to you and yours for the time that you are here? If you want to just get away from it all and answer only to your own whims on your own time, with total flexibility, then this vacation is for you.

Perfect for families, retreats, small family reunions, or just those who need to get away from it all in a private setting.

We include a wide variety of activities and programs for you to chose from both on and off the ranch. Live in a log cabin, fill your days participating in eco projects, wildlife research, and bison studies alongside our biologists.  If you’re more into solitude, then walk the hiking trails, dabble your feet in the artesian spring fed pond, or relax in a Lakota Sioux tipi while surrounded by a powerful bison herd in the magnificent Montana wilderness. Observe and learn about the natural history of this awe-inspiring animal without ever leaving your cabin porch.

While there is plenty to do on the ranch, if you’re looking for more activities off the ranch, we are happy to help you arrange those. You are welcome to do them while spending your evenings on the ranch, or we can even help you set them up for after you leave us.

  • Guided Day of Fishing (the fishing guides provide transportation so you won’t need your own vehicle for this one)

You will need your own transportation for the following activities:

  • Gates of the Mountain boat trip on the Missouri River
  • Gallatin River Float Trip
  • Gallatin River Whitewater Raft Trip
  • Horseback Riding with mountain picnic
  • Drive to the ghost towns of Bannack and Virginia City

Yellowstone National Park
And we highly suggest you visit Yellowstone National Park, only about three hours away. However, because of the amount of driving involved, we actually suggest that you do this after your stay here and plan on a couple of nights either in, or near the Park, to take full advantage of what this incredible Park has to offer. We have a great itinerary and information that we’re happy to share with you before you leave the Ranch.
